Now that the New Year is behind us and the month of love has begun, it’s time to start thinking about the next big holiday: Valentine’s day.
Valentine’s Day falls on a Thursday this year, and with President’s Day weekend following so close behind, it promises to be a busy lead-up to the long weekend. If you and your significant other will be celebrating this lover’s day in Las Vegas and you have no idea what to do while you’re here, consider the following:
A gondola ride at the Venetian
Get a unique view of the Las Vegas Strip from the gondolas at the Venetian. This romantic mini-tour takes guests along the Grand Canal, the waterway that wraps through the shopping promenade and the exterior of the hotel. You can go in groups or pay for a private gondola, but since you can’t make reservations ahead of time, I’d recommend checking this out early if you’re going on Valentine’s Day.
Eat at Mon Ami Gabi
For another ‘getaway within a getaway’, try a romantic dinner at Mon Ami Gabi. Located inside the Paris hotel, Mon Ami Gabi is a popular little bistro that serves modern takes on classic French dishes. They are hosting a series of specials throughout the week leading up to Valentine’s Day,
When you’re done, ride up to the top of the Eiffel Tower for a special view of the Las Vegas Strip.
Take in a hockey game
If you and your significant other are hockey fans, check out the Knights when they play the Toronto Maple Leads at the T-Mobile Arena on Valentine’s Day night. Home games for the Knights are always jam-packed with pre-game events, so the Click here for tickets.
Las Vegas may be the home of the quickie wedding, but it’s also got some of the best settings to pop the question to. Whether it’s at the top of the Eiffel Tower, on the New York New York bridge, in front of the Bellagio fountains or the LOVE sign inside the Venetian, take this unique opportunity to pop the question to your love while in Las Vegas.
Check out Zumanity
You might think that if you’ve seen one Cirque du Soleil production, you’ve seen them all, but that is not the case. Case in point – Zumanity, the show often dubbed ‘the sexier side of Cirque du Soleil’. Zumanity explores the meaning of human sexuality through intimate, jaw-dropping performances that get your pulse racing. Get tickets to Zumanity here.
Share a shake at Black Tap
If you’re looking for a place to dine out with your beloved that won’t totally break the bank, consider Black Tap. Located inside the Venetian, Black Tap is part of a growing burger chain that originated in New York. The burgers themselves are impressive – my favorite is the steak au poivre – but the shakes at Black Tap steal the show. They have a set menu of creations that they offer, but you can expect to find special creations during big events and holidays. It’s a fun place to spend with your special someone that doesn’t require getting fancy and spending a lot of money, which can go a long way in a city like Las Vegas.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
